2 Year Appointment

I had my two-year-old check-up yesterday, and I am a healthy little girl! I am now 35 1/2 inches tall (90%), 29 lbs, 2 oz (80%) and my huge head is now in the 80th percentile. I'm a growing girl! I'm also a goofy girl, and was having a little too much fun with Grandma when we took these pictures before she left. Thanks for visiting, Grandma, I love you to pieces!

Bath Time for Katherine (and Chewy?)

Yesterday Chewy decided to go bobbing for my rubber duckies while I was taking a bath, and it totally cracked me up. So today Mom tried to catch on video today. However, Chewy was feeling even a little more adventurous...

Play Time with Grandma

We had a fun day today. Grandma put me in this cute little dress...

And we went on a merry-go-round. Wheeeee!

Then we came home and had a party for all my little people in my doll house. Fun!

Play-Doh

Today was my first foray into the wonderful world of Plah-Doh. Grandma and Mom made a caterpillar and a snowman for me, and I got to squish them and cut them with scissors.

Then Grandma made a cupcake, and Mom made a party hat for the snowman, and I got to wish the snowman a happy birthday and let him eat the cupcake. Fun play time!

I Like Bugs!

Last time I went to the Rainforest Cafe I got to take home a big box of bugs. I love bugs! And I quickly learned all their names. I'll introduce them all to you...

Favorite Pictures

Here are 2 of my new favorite pictures. I like the one of Chewy, because he looks like he's smiling, and I love having my friend Isabella as my co-pilot in the other one.

Presents!

I got lots of fun presents for my birthday! Nana got me a stroller and showed me how to strap Lamby in for a ride. Safety first!

Then she gave me a baby doll, which fits much better in there, and I LOVE it!

Grandma and Grandpa sent me a dollhouse and this cool garage. I was so obsessed with it when I first got it that I would yell at Mom if she even touched it. Now I like other people to play with it with me though; I've mellowed now that I'm two.

I also got this cool puppy named Scout from Uncle Kevin and Auntie Leslie and Kara. It even says my name! I hug him and talk to him when he asks me questions, and tuck him into the crib we made him when he tells me he's tired. Here's a little sneak peak at our play time:

Mom and Dad got me this cool drum set! Mom says I remind her of Animal from the Muppet Show. I'll have to check him out, he sounds COOL!

My 2nd Birthday

I had a super fun time on Sunday, my actual 2 year birthday. Mom, Dad, Nana and I went to my favorite place for lunch, the Rainforest Cafe.

A lady made me a balloon puppy on a leash. Here I am hugging it as it gives me static electricity in my hair.

Then they brought out a birthday sundae and sang to me, and I got to blow out the candle (with a little help from Dad). Yum!

Next we all went to the Reptile Zoo. We looked at some cool animals...

I got to pet some...

Flash some...

And then feed some worms to the turtles!

After that I got to have one more birthday cupcake and try one last time to blow out the candles on my own.

I actually did it on my own this time! And then I made Mom light it about 3 more times so I could practice and be a pro at it next year. Mom will try to post the video, but it's pretty big...

My 2nd Birthday Party!

I had my 2nd birthday party yesterday! It had a Toy Story theme, so Mom made little green alien cupcakes (and was quite proud of herself that they turned out).

I got lots of love from my friends, like Isabella...

and my cousin Kyle...

And then had some fun in the pool with Isabella, Ilana, and Bella.

Playing Catch-Up

It's been a fun couple of days! Last weekend I went to the Bolsa Chica Wetlands with Mom and Dad. I brought my stroller, but decided I wanted to push it rather than ride in it...

Then yesterday we went down to play with my cousins (through love, not blood) Robby (in the walker), Lizzy, and Kara. It was quite hard to get a picture of us all paying attention at the same time.

While there I helped Chewy bark at the garbage truck out the window...

And played some ball with him (ie: had him chase me around while I hoarded the ball).

Rainforest Cafe

Yesterday we went to the Rainforest Cafe. I was transfixed! It may not look like I'm having a ton of fun in these pictures, but that's because a lot of the time I was staring open-mouthed at all the animatronic animals moving and making noises. You can sort of see the elephant tusks behind me in the background. So cool!

I also convinced the balloon animal artist to make me a frog. I loved it a little too much, though, because it unravelled in the car.

We also got to go on the Merry-Go-Round. I liked it, and would shake the reins saying, "Go, horsey, go!".

But more than anything I was interested in how my horse went up and down, since his legs weren't moving. Most of the time I watched the machinery above my head. I wonder if I can rig something like that up at home for Chewy? Hmmm....
