BBQ With Friends

I got to play outside with Miles and Kara at a BBQ yesterday. We were all very wiggly, and this is the only picture they could get of us all (almost) looking at the camera. We three keep the adults on their toes!

A Day at the Pool

Mom and I went to the pool today with my baby friends. Here's me in my pool gear:

I love when mom lifts me up in the air and then lets me splash down in the water. Splashing is my favorite part!

Notice I'm the only one without a floatation device. I like to live on the edge.

My Spoon

Mom decided to let me try to feed myself with my spoon today. She's not very smart.

Here's a close-up so you can see the fine mist of mess all over my face (and arms, chair, Mom):

When we were done, Mom tried to take the spoon away. I wasn't going for that.

Feeding myself is fun. Though I'm not sure how much I actually did get in my mouth.

Happy Father's Day!

I had fun with Dad on Father's Day. Here we are opening the present I gave him. It's a book with pictures of us having fun together inside!

Then he let me feed him some of my food, which cracked me up. You'll notice the peas are all still left on my tray. He wasn't having any of those. He made a face worse than I do when I don't like my food!

The Return of Baby Wolverine

Mom and Dad have now invested in a new crib rail guard. Let's see how long it takes me to figure out how to pull it off. Any bets?

My Favorite Thumb

All I want to do these days is suck my thumb.

Mom thinks I may have another toofer coming in. She says I'm a poor pumpkin and gives me kisses. That helps.

Swimsuit

Mom and I went to the pool yesterday. I had lots of fun splashing around. Here are a few shots of me in my bathing suit. Mom says I look especially squinchable in it.

First Graduation

I had my first "graduation" on Tuesday at the Little Gym. I am now officially moving up to the "Birds" big girl class from the "Bugs" class (that's for BABIES!). Nana and Uncle Stuart came to cheer for me at my last class.

But it all always comes back to my favorite thing, eating. I've been practicing for months to fit this whole bar in my mouth!

Another Lazy Sunday

Mom, Dad and I decided yesterday was a nice beach day. I love being outside, and am now especially interested in birds. Here I am watching the seagulls...

I also practiced my standing skills. It's a lot easier when I can dig my feet into the sand for stabilization.

When we got home Dad and I mocked Chewy, standing at his usual post:

And then I was all tuckered out, and ready for some snuggly time on the couch with Dad. Big yawn....

Playdate with CJ

My friend CJ came over to play yesterday. I got to show him all my toys.

First I showed him my book...

But I wasn't so sure I wanted to share it with him.

Then I showed him how fun it is to gnaw on the coffee table.

Then I let him play in my Exersaucer while I practiced my squats. Still training for American Gladiator!

He liked it...

And I like him! Yay, baby playdates!

Chewy doesn't really know what to think of his new bed yet, but I love it and crawl in there every chance I get. Dad calls it my "baby couch".

Hitting the Gym

Today I went to my friend Eli's 1st birthday party at My Gym.

First I played with the other kids (and Dad) in a big circle...

Then Mom helped me kick the balls, like a baby foosball player:

Then it was time for the ball pit! I wasn't sure what to do when I first got in there...

Oh yeah, everything goes in my mouth!

Then Mom pushed me on the swings. Wheeeeee!

Finally, I crawled through this tunnel maze...

I hear people complain about "going to the gym", but we had a great time!

Toofers!

Mom asked me why I was sucking my thumb so much lately. So, I showed her my new two front toofers.

Here's how I am coping with them:

Irvine Park Play Date

Today my friends and I went to Irvine Park. They have all sorts of fun stuff to do there! First, I rode my first pony!

OK, I didn't really ride it, I just sat on it. I think Mom and I were both afraid of it, and that's all we were really up for.

Then I got to go on my first train ride with all my friends. I met the engineer first, to make sure it was a safe endeavor...

And had so much fun, smiling and squealing the whole time it was moving.

They even made me an honorary engineer (OK, not really, but at least I got a picture).

Then we went to the petting zoo. I thought the goats were very silly, and laughed at this one a lot!

Then I got to pet the baby goats, which I loved! I would have crawled around with them, but for some reason Mom wouldn't let me. Goats are my new favorite animal (sorry, llamas).

This little guy wasn't part of the petting zoo, but was close enough to pet, eating all the Cheerios we all dropped. Mom wouldn't let me pet him though. I told Chewy about him, and Chewy was very jealous.

All in all, a very fun day for a very silly girl!
