Bowers Museum

We took an excursion to see the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit at the Bowers Museum.  It was pretty cool, and I listened to my audio tour and behaved like a big girl the whole time.

But really Tommy and I were just waiting to get to the kids' museum part!  They have tons of multicultural musical instruments, like this rain stick.

Here's me as Ben Franklin...

And having a tea party Asian-style!

They also have tons of multicultural traditional clothes to dress up in.  I wasn't thrilled about being in this Chinese dress, but Mom said I looked so cute...

I did like these clogs, though.

And Mom and I liked these hats, though we couldn't get Tommy to keep his on.  Here's an action shot of it falling off his head.

After dressing up, we had a little drum circle.

We're quite talented...

After the drum circle Tommy learned some math the old school way on the abacus.

Then it was on to our favorite part of the kids' museum: the puppet theater.  I loved the chameleon puppet most...

And Tommy loved ALL of them!

After the museum we went out for a little lunch, and Tommy showed off his dancing-while-eating skills.  Great day!
