My most recent artistic creation from preschool is a paint and fold project, entitled "My Little Brother". Mom's not sure if it's a complement for Tommy or not, but is glad that at least I find him inspiring.

The Prairie Dog Song
In my new "Big Backyard" magazine, there was a song about prairie dogs. Although Mom and Dad only sang it to me a total of 4 times, I managed to remember a good amount of it, and I sing it at random times throughout the day. Here's the song, and my rendition:

15 Month Check-Up
At Tommy's 15 month check-up today, he was 33 1/2 in. tall (97%), 27 lbs, 4 oz (80%), and his huge head was in the 95%. Big boy! He also took his two shots in the arm like a champ. However, after the first one he gave the nurse a dirty look and snapped the wooden tongue depressor he was holding in his hands in two. The nurse was amazed and said she'd never seen a kid do that. Mom told her to be careful not to anger the hulk.

Tommy is 15 Months Old!
Tommy is a 15 month old boy now! His favorite things are running around in the backyard...
Playing with my doctor kit...
Reading his books...
And playing with empty milk gallon jugs. Coincidentally, this is also Chewy's favorite thing to do.
Tommy especially likes pushing them in the stroller.
We're not sure why we even buy him toys.
He's still a very cute, sweet, and happy little boy.
And he's even learning how to give kisses (and not the open-mouthed baby kind he'd been giving before).

Photosynthesis!
As you may know, we listen to a lot of music at our house, and one of our favorite albums is "Science" by They Might Be Giants. In fact, we have been conditioned to respond to the chorus of this photosynthesis song:
Every time Mom or Dad sings it, here's what we do (and just so you know Tommy isn't just copying what I do, Mom included a clip of him by himself):
Mom says Pavlov would be proud.
Every time Mom or Dad sings it, here's what we do (and just so you know Tommy isn't just copying what I do, Mom included a clip of him by himself):
Mom says Pavlov would be proud.

Tub ABC's
We had a little alphabet lesson for Tommy in the tub...
K is for Katherine...
T is for Tommy...
And B is for bubble beard?
S is for super sleepy puppy, napping next to the tub.

Tommy's Not Happy Unless He's Climbing
See all those toys in the background? Tommy doesn't. All he wants to do is climb these days.

Lay Off, Mom!
Tommy likes Mom's tortilla roll-ups, but he's tired of her cutting all his meat for him. He says he's a big boy now, so he pointed to the whole one, and Mom relented and gave it to him...
Happy Boy!
And a successfully devoured meal.

Tommy's New Tricks
I decided to give Elmo breakfast with Tommy this morning, and document it photographically. Here you see Elmo eating a banana and Tommy eating his waffles:
Elmo's not the only one with new tricks. Tommy learned how to spin, and has some new barnyard noises that he makes:
He also learned how to give his baby a bottle...

Penelope's Birthday Party
I went to a birthday party for my friend from school, Penelope. A bunch of my friends from school were there, which was fun, and they had a bounce house, which was extra fun!
Bouncehouse mayhem!
My friend Cameron and I doing silly jumping...
Birthday girl Penelope joins in the silly jumping fun.
Did I mention I love to bounce?
There were Yo Gabba Gabba cupcakes with a pure sugar piece on top. How could it get better, you ask?
Gift bags of little chocolates and rainbow licorice! Penelope wasn't very happy that she hadn't gotten one yet...
More silly faces with Cameron. She'll be in the kindergarten room with me next year at school, so there will be more silliness to come!

Tommy and Harper
Tommy's friend, Harper, and our Auntie Sandra came by to play the other day. They had a fun time! Tommy showed him all his fridge magnets...
And they both showed off their toy-eating abilities.
Here's Tommy warning him that Chewy is a notorious baby-licker...
But he doesn't seem too considered.
Cat in the Hat Drawing
Here is my interpretation of a page from "The Cat in the Hat".
-And all we could do was to sit, sit, sit, sit
And we did not like it, not one little bit.

Dessert with Daddy
Daddy and I decided to have some of his Activia yogurt for dessert...
Daddy was really excited about eating it...
But I wanted to know what made it different from other yogurts. It had a picture of a tummy and bellybutton on it, so Daddy told me it was made from bellybuttons.
No, that's silly. But I told Daddy I knew what mine was really made from...
Here, try it first...
It's made from DOG FARTS! (Yes, I really said that.) Joke's on you, Daddy!

Family BBQ
We had some family over for a BBQ last weekend. Daddy said grilling brings out his feminine side...
Cousin Amy pushed me on the swing, and Uncle Tommy pushed Simon.
After we ate some yummy burgers and roasted s'mores, Cousins Jimmy and Laura, Aunt Leslie and Uncle Tommy, and Cousins Amy and Joe sat outside by the fire and talked and laughed...
While Simon and I caught up on a little Thomas the Train.
Afterwards we had a little harmonica hoedown. Before everyone left, I said, "It's so fun to have friends over!" Indeed.
