Backyard Fun

Here's a picture and video of me playing in the backyard.

I worked up quite an appetite.

Adyson's Birthday

I went to my friend Adyson's first birthday party this weekend. Here's a picture of us. She's in her birthday tutu and I'm gnawing on a cold water bottle. It was HOT out!
I played ball in the park with Daddy...

And got my own strawberry tattoo! Don't worry, Daddy, it's not real. I was so wiggly while they were putting it on that it looks like there was a bite taken out of it.

I loved the balloons, and Mom and Dad kept holding me up so I could bat at them.

Then I giggled the whole way home in the stroller watching Mom and Dad chase my ball as I would push it out of my stroller with my feet. I have them so well trained!

Aquarium of the Pacific

I went to the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific yesterday with some of my friends. Here we are (Isabella, Evan and me) in front of the shark exhibit. I loved the sharks, and yelled and pounded on the glass when they swam by. They have cool teeth!

Here's me and a sea nettle...

Isabella liked it too!

The mom behind us told her son these sea lions were wrestling, but I knew better because I heard Mom and her friends giggling. She told me they were procreating. I'm not sure what that means, but it made them act very silly.

One Year Portraits

I had my one year portraits taken yesterday. To make it interesting for Mom, I decided not to nap beforehand. I also somehow managed to make a nice red scratch down my forehead, right between my eyes, at some point between when Mom put me in the car to when we got to the studio. I like to keep it interesting! Mom accepted this challenge by taking me to the make-up counter and putting some cover up on my scratch. You can sort of see it in this picture:
Not quite what we were hoping for, but some of the pictures turned out pretty good. The best one is still being printed, so you'll have to wait a week to see it! Until then, here are a few to tide you over.

Water, Water Everywhere!

I am a water-loving one-year-old girl! Here are Mom and me out back by the waterfall, which I love...
Here's me helping Daddy water our new grass...

And here I am having fun in the bathtub. Waterbaby!

My Buddy's Birthday

My friend, Evan, turned one year old the day after me. Here we are at his party:
It was a pool party, so here's a bathing beauty shot of me:

I loved splashing my friends, and love being in the water.
Here I am in full splash-attack mode!

The Birthday Aftermath

The morning after my birthday Chewy was still ready to celebrate.

Cake?....Cake!

Here is a picture of my cake from my birthday party. It says "Happy Birthday Pumpkin" and looks really cute, right?
Not to me. And no amount of Daddy coercing me to take a bite would work.

But Mom and Dad tried again the next day with a cupcake; less pressure. At first I wasn't so sure...

And made a few faces...
But then I liked it...

And was even excited about it!

Yay, messy cake!

My First Birthday, Part 2

Here are some fun pictures of all the playtime I had! Here's Mom helping me open the tunnel they got me...

And the tunnel in action! First Miles, then me with CJ on the outside:

Yay, tunnel!

Then Miles and I played with my ark from Grandma and Grandpa. We decided which animals got to stay, and which ones had to die. The giraffe made the cut...
Here I am showing Kara my horse noise:
And trying to make CJ wear my birthday hat:

I showed Miles pictures from when I was a little baby...

And posed while Mom and Auntie Leslie made silly faces to try to get Kara and I to smile.
I played with Nana...

And she taught me that I don't have to use the doggy door to go outside, I can just step across the threshold. Thanks, Nana! Now on to a whole new year of exploration!

My Birthday Party, Part 1

Yay, I'm a whole year old! Mom and Dad threw me a little party with a few friends to celebrate.

This is the best picture we could get of all 4 babies together at once. We are a group on the go! Miles wins the congeniality award.

Here's Daddy, Nana, and me, and one of Uncle Stuart helping me open some presents:

Here I am opening more of my presents. I got a lot of cool stuff!
Should I be honored or offended by what it said on this present?

More unwrapping...
Then they tried to give me my own little cake. I wasn't having any of it. More on that later...
I was interested in inspecting the cake for everyone else...
Inspection successful!
