Kiddo Bonanza

After a fun Turkey Day with Nana, Uncle Stuart, and Kyle, on Saturday we went down to Oceanside to play with all our buddies. I brought Kara the belated birthday present I picked out, which she graciously let me play with (I was quite insistent)...

Here's a picture of some of the crew (it's hard to contain us all in one shot):
CJ, Tommy, me, Robby, and Lizzy
Leslie played fun games with us. In the video you can see Kara, Lizzy, Robby and me hopping like frogs...

And Daddy gave Robby and Kara much-deserved inverted tickles.

Auntie Kimmy bonded with Tommy over their matching dimples...

And then gave CJ's little sister, Kate, and me a good tickling.
Then all the parents decided they "needed" to watch some Sesame Street, so we all "thankfully" joined in.
But goofiness still ensued between Lizzy and I...
All this may have worn Tommy out a little bit. But we all had tons of fun!

Attempting Holiday Photos

We made plans to take holiday photos today. We should have known we were in for a rough session when Tommy woke up with a print of his own hand on his face right before we were leaving for the photo venue...
Thankfully, his rubber baby face recovered quickly, and we were ready to go, looking exceptionally cute.
We took a few pictures down by the big Christmas tree on Main Street...
And after many pictures like this...
Tommy fell and skinned his lip and gums on the concrete, poor kid! There was blood from Tommy, and tears from both Tommy and Mommy. After Tommy made a pretty speedy recovery (Mom, not so much), we stopped the photo session for a lunch break. We resumed the session after lunch at our house. Mom and Dad thought all was going well until they figured out what I was doing:
And things got a little silly from there. We may have to try this again another day.

He's a Bird, He's a Plane, He's SUPER TOMMY!

Not satisfied with walking, Tommy is now attempting to flap his arms hard enough to fly.

I got a little more snuggled in than Mom expected while preparing to watch Bambi.

Early Visit to Santa

Tommy and I went to visit Santa today at the mall.

First I got to ride the train...
And all Tommy got to do was watch.
We both liked Santa this year, and I was so excited to tell him what I wanted for Xmas that I jumped up and down the whole time.

Fully Bipedal

Tommy's preferred mode of transport is now walking. Here's an idea of how well he's doing on two legs:
As you can also see, now none of my toys are safe. Not so sure how I feel about this...

Put It in the Launcher Revisited

Long ago, Mom and Dad used to play "Put it in the Launcher" with Chewy and me...
Now the torch has been passed to Tommy:
Thanks for the fun, Chewy!

Grandma's Visit

Grandma came to visit this week. We were all so happy!

She played with Tommy and I A LOT, and after playing Pet Shop with me about 400 times, she may never want to play it again. But I LOVED it!
Tommy also showed her some of his new skills.
1. Trying new food/making a colossal mess...
2. Walking
3. Playing with his toys (?). Mom says he likes this rock so much that she just may get him another one for Christmas.
We love you, Grandma! Thanks for coming!

Halloween 2011

We had such a fun Halloween! While we were getting ready, Tommy demonstrated his improved walking skills:
Then Han Solo piloted us down to Main Street for a little costume watching and trick-or-treating.

I got lots of candy and a cool spider balloon animal...
And Tommy's little steps as R2D2 made his costume even more authentic:
We even met another Princess Leia!

Tommy and I had a lot of fun...
Until it was time to get a picture on the old fire engine. I was a little hungry and overextended by this point, as you can see...
Don't worry, after some dinner (mummy hot dogs and ghost mashed potatoes)...
Some more trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, and some snuggles from Daddy I felt much better.
Happy Halloween, Everyone!
