Cousins at the Beach

We took the cousins to the beach.  We got nice and sandy...

Look at Tommy's legs!

We enjoyed the beautiful day...

And even frolicked in the water!

Mommy had to take a picture of Tommy's cute little duck-footed footprints...

And cute little Tommy himself.

Lucile collected shells...

Cyrus dug sand castles and ran in the waves...

Tommy hung out in the bathtubs that Ed dug, and I ran in the waves after getting as sandy as possible.  We are beach kiddos!

Second Cousins

My second cousins, Lucile and Cyrus, came to stay with us last week.  We had soooo much fun!  Lucile had sleep overs in my room with me, Cyrus loved playing in the Star Wars room with me, and we took them on lots of fun adventures around our city!
We also had a ton of fun goofing around in the back yard...

More to come!

Tommy's 18 Months Old

Tommy had his 18 months appointment yesterday.  He is now 28 lbs, 12 oz (85%), and 35 inches tall, which is off the charts for his age (>97%).  She said he's a healthy, talkative, cute little boy.  We agree.  Grow, Tommy, grow!

Watching My First Dance Recital

My friend, Isabella, had her first dance recital last weekend.  At first I didn't want to go unless I could dance too.  But Mom finally convinced me that I would have fun watching, and I would be supporting my friend, so I begrudgingly agreed to go.  I sat through over an hour attentively, and really liked watching all the "big kids" do their tap, ballet, and modern dance.  I did get a little too inspired though, and had to take a little dance break outside before it was over.

Afterwards I gave Isabella a big hug and told her she did a great job.

Then I got to watch Toy Story on the way home...

AND stopped for ice cream.  Wow, being nice and supportive really pays off!

On the way home, we drove by our local park and there was a big carnival going on there.  So, of course, we had to stop for cotton candy...

A balloon animal Hello Kitty...

And some serious bouncing!

A big day for a big girl!

First Day of Dance

Today was my first dance class at Little Gym, and I was soooooo excited!  In the ballet part I got to twirl with a hula hoop...

And practice going up on my toes!

I also learned my first tap steps, and was a very good listener.

However, Mom couldn't stop making cooing noises over my cuteness.  She may get kicked out for disruptive behavior if she doesn't learn to control herself.

Playing Dinosaurs

We were playing dinosaurs with Daddy (and Chewy) the other day), and Daddy decided to take a video of Tommy feeding leaves to his dinosaur, babbling at them, and then showing off his different body parts.  He seems to be a smart little guy.  I taught him everything he knows.

Father's Day 2012

We had fun giving the best Dad ever (ours) presents through a scavenger hunt on Father's Day.  We also had fun trying to take a self-portrait for him a few days before.  Some were ok...

Most were a bit weird, like this one with the flash behind Mom's head and Chewy's tongue sticking out to lick Tommy.

And a lot were just plain silly.

But we managed to get a few good ones.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!  You're the best, we love you so much!

Ballerina Girl

Mom says she doesn't know what to do with my new-found interest in all things pink and frilly, but I think she may have found an outlet.

This is the dance leotard and skirt she bought me for my Little Gym dance class, which starts tomorrow.  The class is half gymnastics, half tap and ballet, and all cuteness with me in this outfit.

I had to try it on to make sure it works.  It works well for jumping...

Yelling "Ta-Da!"...
Balancing....

And falling after balancing.

Here you can see a bit more of me in action:

Smiles

Mom said it's too bad neither of us have clothes on in these pictures, because these are some of the best camera smiles she's seen out of us.  We're such sullen children. :)

Good Dogs, Tommy and Chewy

Yesterday, Mom walked in to get Tommy up and found him standing in his crib with his shirt off, holding the sleeve in his mouth and shaking his head and growling like Chewy.  Daddy said, "What do you expect when his best friend's a dog?"  Where could he be learning this behavior?

Fancy Fingernails

My new sitter, Jessica, painted my nails for the first time and I LOVE them!  Mom's still not so sure how to handle my new girly phase, but she likes anything that makes me this excited.

Party at the Park

We went to my friend from preschool, Katelyn's, birthday party last weekend at the park (that's her in the polka-dot dress).  We had lots of fun in the bounce house...

And I got my face painted by her grandma...

It's a butterfly?  Regardless, it was sparkly and I loved it.  I've now started bugging mom to paint my fingernails too.  This makes her sigh.

After the party we went to dinner at Mom and Dad's favorite Italian place.  Here's a rare picture of Tommy without his mouth full.
He may have eaten his body weight in bread, pasta, and caprese.

Even though I tried the pasta and deemed it good...

I had to secretly coerce Dad into getting what I really wanted...

Spumoni!
