Hanging Like a Monkey

Isabella took me as her guest to the Little Gym today, and taught me to hang like a monkey! So fun!

Cooling Off in the Pool

It was hot this weekend, so I had some much needed cool-off time in my pool in the backyard. I decided to treat the whale sprinkler as my own personal drinking fountain...

Then played a little fetch with Chewy and my bath toys.

This may have riled Chewy up a bit too much, as he had the following spaz afterwards. The heat must be getting to all of us!

A Day at the Park

We went to the duck park by our house yesterday. They don't let you feed the ducks there anymore, so we had to find other ways to amuse ourselves...

I talked to Mommy through this silly horn...

And taught Chewy to drink from the water fountain.

This must have made him a little over-excited, because he started digging in the sand like a crazy puppy:

He's so silly!

I Can Spell! Well, Sort Of...

While having a popsicle on a hot day and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in my purple chair...

I surprised Mom by spelling/singing the theme song:

I can spell! Well, sort of.

Irvine Park

Mommy, Daddy and I went to Irvine Park this weekend. They have a fun train we got to ride...

And even though I liked it, I still refuse to pose for a normal family photo.

They also had a pumpkin patch! This wagon may have been a little big for me...

But Daddy helped me pick up a few of the pumpkins.

And Mommy insisted on cuddling me while we sat on some.

They also tried to get me to stand next to this sign to show how big I am now, but this was the best shot they could get.
Hmmmm...how can Daddy get me to smile for pictures?

Goofy set-ups? No....

I'm too little to ride the real ponies, but how about these? Still no luck.

Petting zoo?

That'll do it! Brushing goats is fun!
We also walked through the little Orange County Zoo. Here I am looking at the warthogs. When I first saw them, I said "Hakuna Matata". Maybe Mom's been letting me watch "The Lion King" a little too much.

One last picture with a smile? Even though I had a great day, don't count on it. :)

Big Girl Steps Advantageous to Chewy

Another bonus to sitting in my booster seat, besides being a big girl, is that it's easier for me to sneak food to Chewy, and for him to lick me in return. Silly pooper dog!

Driving Lessons from Isabella

I played at the park with Isabella the other day, and she let me sit in her car while she'd push my down the hill. We did this repeatedly, and I drove, honked the horn, and clapped my hands every time.

My friends are fun!

Batting Average = 0.001

I love the T-Ball set I got for my birthday (and so does Chewy), but I don't quite get the concept of how to hold the bat correctly yet. Maybe I should stick with drumming...

Long Beach Aquarium

Mom felt she was brave enough to take me back to the aquarium yesterday. Though I still liked climbing on everything, I actually really liked all the fish this time, too!

I liked watching these fish swim by in big schools, and then tried to tickle them whenever they came by, that's why I'm giggling.

The sea lions were cool...

And so were the jellyfish...

But I'm a hands-on kind of explorer, so I liked the tide pool exhibit best. I touched a starfish, sea urchin, sea cucumber, and sea anemone. Look out, Jacques Cousteau!

Morning Snack

Since I'm such a big girl now, I like to eat my morning snack sitting in my booster chair at the coffee table instead of in my high chair. Chewy likes to sleep over my shoulder on the couch and watch me eat my snack, in case I miss anything. We look out for each other.

Standard Silliness

I love playing, especially in the back yard. Here I am smelling a daisy...

And rolling around on my big blue bouncy ball.

I also like playing with whatever Mom and Dad are working on. We've also been replacing some of our old smoke detectors, and this is actually a dust cover for one of them, but I decided I liked it better as a shower cap, and even better as the topper to my naked outfit.

Isabella's Birthday Party

Yesterday was my friend Isabella's birthday. We're good buddies, and had fun drawing with chalk...
Then Evan, Isabella and I anxiously awaited the arrival of her cake.
It was a Yo Gabba Gabba cake, and her parents made the whole thing! (Impressive!)

It was yummy, but I may have liked my ice cream more, even if I did eat it with a fork.

Big Girl!

I'm such a big girl now! I've been sleeping in my big girl bed for about a month now, and I love it! Daddy thinks it's comfy too. Here he is taking my spot. Move, Dad!
I also got a new booster chair, so now I can sit at the table and eat like a big girl. So long, high chair!

Learning From Chewy

Chewy and I both love playing with my cow bubble-maker in the backyard.

His crazy puppy ways are even starting to rub off on me. Here I am giggling at Chewy, and then in the next one you can hear Mom giggling at me:
Chewy's so silly!
OK, maybe I'm a little silly too!

Achtung, Oktoberfest Chicken!

Mom, Dad and I went to Oktoberfest today. We liked listening to the band...

And I had fun encouraging Dad to drink his beer...

And eat his vegetables.

I got a sucker shaped like a butterfly, and when Dad asked what it tasted like, I said, "Butterflies".

But my main Oktoberfest objective was chicken hunting. When I first met the biggest chicken ever, I wasn't too sure about him, as you can see...
But that didn't stop me from pursuing him all around the grounds, crying when he'd leave the room, begging for a chicken-shaped necklace to wear, or running for my life when he'd actually acknowledge me. Auf Wiedersehen, Chicken!
