New Shoes

Mom had to help me get these on, but I think they really complete my outfit.

I may not be ready to wear them to the park yet though...

Night Night

I have learned to fake snore. But since I don't close my eyes at the same time, it may not be an effective way to convince Mom that I already took my nap.

Lots of times, I like to be just like my daddy. But there are some times that I think that he doesn't know what he is doing.

Busy Week

I've been busy! Here's a run down of my week:
I helped take Chewy to the groomer...

And then took him to the park afterwards and helped him sniff some flowers.

I did a little sliding...

A little climbing all over the picnic table...

And had some fun at the beach. In addition to giggling maniacally in the waves, I also found a big stick to dig with. Mom says that's what Chewy likes to do at the beach, too. My big brother is rubbing off on me.
Then I had my final art class. I actually have now made 2 things all by myself without any help from Mom. Here I am putting the final touches on my painting...
And here's a little canvas I made to hang on the wall in my room. I painted it with different colors of paint glue, and then stuck different little doodads on it, and painted it some more. Impressive, eh?
I'm smiling because I'm proud of my creativity, and Mom's smiling because that art class is finally over!

Art Class: Revisited

I successfully navigated art class today without a meltdown at the end. Yay! And Wow (which is my favorite new word)! Here are my latest creations:
Mom dipped the rubber stamps in ink for me on this one, and then I had a lot of fun stamping them on the table, my hands, oh, and this piece of paper.

For this one, I colored the paper egg with marker, then Mom put water on it to smear the colors around and give it that dyed-egg look. I'm not sure this look was achieved. Then I helped put glue EVERYWHERE to glue down the egg and the Easter grass. This one may have won the messiness award.

This one is a favorite of mine, and of Mom's. I liked it because I got to paint glue all over the teddy bear, and then dig coffee grounds out of a dish with a spoon (I LOVE to dig!) and throw them on top of it to make it look like fur. Mom likes it because I gave the bear something that looks like a unibrow.

Sandbox!

I love my new sandbox! I lost my shovel at the park, so here I am digging with one of Mom's cooking spoons. I also learned to crawl under the ladder. Limbo lower now!

Beach Baby

Yesterday I went to the beach with my friend, Isabella. I hadn't been there in a long time. I forgot that at the beach you can dig...

You can run...

Relax and catch some rays...

And hang ten!

Mommy and I love the beach, I have a feeling we'll be here a lot!

Balloons Are Fun For Babies and Dogs

We had some balloons left over from our party, which Chewy and I were very excited about. You can hear me using my new word, "Wow!"

Katherine = Evel Knievel

We had a housewarming party on Saturday, and I learned to climb up the playset in our backyard all by myself, just like the big kids. This freaks Mom out a bit, but she's on board now. Here's some footage of me in action the next day.

Portrait of an Artist

Here are my two latest art projects. I think this first one is supposed to be some sort of charm bracelet, and the last one is an abstract, a bunch of pieces of paper that mom put glue on and I slapped onto a piece of paper. "Chaos of Art Class: Part Deux". Maybe this isn't such high art after all...

I must admit, I may still be a little young for this whole art class thing. Mom says, "No" to me a lot there, and doesn't let me play with the stuff that looks the most fun, like scissors, or eat the stuff that looks yummiest, like glue. She also doesn't let me repeat the words she says silently under her breath as I destroy rather than create. Maybe I'll revisit this art thing in my older years, say age 2 or 3.

Sandbox and Snuggling

Mom and Dad finished my new sandbox in the back yard. I love it!

I was so excited by it, that I needed a little down time afterward with my favorite fuzzy dog.

Visiting Miles

I went down to San Diego to play with Miles this week. Here we are playing in his front yard...

And here we are jumping like frogs!

Our parents were also trying to convince us to hug, but I wasn't too into it.

Cheerios Are For Big Girls

I am now such a big girl that I use a spoon to eat my Cheerios in a bowl with milk. I also taught myself how to drink from the bowl.

A milk mustache looks good on me, don't you think?

Pretty New Blanket

Nana made a new blanket for me, with lots of fun animals on it that I can make noises for. You can click on the picture to enlarge it. Thanks, Nana! I love you!

Kids Play With Weird Things

I got a new dolly from Grandma, but first I was only interested in playing with the plastic cap that came on its head. It made a good space helmet for Lamby.

I love you, Astro-Lamby!

In other news, I got to pick an orange off a tree, and figured out my own unique way to enjoy it. I poked a hole in it with my thumb, and just kept licking the juice off. Ingenius!

Fun in Phoenix

Mom and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa this week. I had fun reading books with Grandma...
And going to the duck park!
And Mom had fun catching up on her Foster kisses.

I also got to accompany Grandpa singing "Old MacDonald" while he played it on the flute!
