Puppy Love

Auntie Kimmy's neighbors brought over their new 6 week old puppy, Brutus.

I now know what puppy love is.

I asked Mom if we could get a puppy.  She told me we already have a puppy - Chewy.  I said, "But he barks a lot at airplanes."  Mom said that was true, but that we love him anyway.

But couldn't we love this guy too?  Guess we'll just have to visit him. *Sigh*

Chillin' in O-Side

We went down to Oceanside and stayed at Auntie Kimmy and Uncle Andy's house this weekend.  Yes, we were dressed in matching "Yellow Submarine" shirts.  Tommy's wearing one of my old ones, and I wanted to wear my new one to match.

We even had a lunch of matching grilled cheese sandwiches at Panera before hitting the road.

Tommy traveled in style on the way.

Here's a rare picture of all 6 of us: Avery, Kara, Robby, Lizzy, squirmy Tommy, and me.

They just put in a huge new playset, and wanted us to help break it in.   We were obviously happy to oblige.

We also had a new adventure: our first movie!  They have kids' day at the local theater, so we went and saw a bunch of episodes of "Peppa Pig" on the big screen.  We even got to sit in these cool booster seats.  I LOVED it and felt like such a big kid.  Tommy loved it too, but did spend a lot of time running around and burning off steam in the lobby.

Fun Friday

Today was polka-dot day at preschool.  I dressed the part...

And tried to do the bunny hop to celebrate.  I may still need to work on it a bit...

Tommy had fun on the swings and slide at the park while I was at school learning.  Slacker!

Juicing Up

Mom gave Tommy this smoothie she made in the blender today.  She tried to give it to me too, but I wasn't having it.  At first, Tommy seemed a little skeptical too...

He tried to pawn it off on Chewy...

But Chewy seemed grossed out too.

Hmmmm.....

The look on Mom's face here says "I snuck peas and spinach into it, mwah ha ha!"  Tommy doesn't pick up on these subtle clues, so he drank the whole thing and asked for more.  Mom: 1, Katherine: 1, Tommy: 0.

Goofing with CJ

CJ and Kate came over to have a BBQ with us yesterday.  We had fun chowing down...

Dogpiling on each other...

Building (and destroying) a fort...

And doing a little cooking.

Dad even taught me to play leap frog!

Earth Day

We had a little picnic at the butterfly park on Earth Day.  We took a little stroll...

And looked at some very pretty flowers. Mom tried to make me smile in my normal natural way.  But it wasn't really working...

Then she told me to think of something that makes me happy.  I shouted, "I love Miles!" and she got this smile.

Next we went on a butterfly and bird safari...

But all we found were these eucalyptus seed pods.

YAY for family park time!  Tommy even learned how to make bubbles.  Sort of.

Fun With Fashion

Mom wanted to take some pictures of us in our new cool flap shirts from Grandma and Grandpa.  Tommy was photo-ready.  I was not.

But I was ready for a product demonstration.  See?!? There are birdies under the cactus on Tommy's shirt...

And snake teeth and tongue under mine.  I feel this is the best way to fully utilize this shirt.

Thanks for clothes that are cute AND fun, G-ma and G-pa!

Playing and Picture Taking

Mom and Dad have been getting an extra big kick out of watching me play with my toys lately.  I am always making up adventures for them and, of course, providing a constant running commentary.  Though I still love the Star Wars toys...

Many of my adventures currently rest with my Toy Story action figures and my puppy play set, members of which you see me snuggling here:
Mom also had to take some silly pictures of me this morning after I ate my toast with jelly.  Dad said it made me look like the Joker.  I decided it was time to take some serious pictures of things that REALLY mattered.

First, and most importantly, was a portrait of Lamby.
Tommy was a close second as far as subject matters go.  Pretty good photography skills, if I don't say so myself.

Toddler Fight Club

Tommy had a battle with the side of the couch this weekend and lost.  Poor kid...

Don't worry, it's not slowing him down much.  Here he is doing his best Thor impression, shirtless and wielding a big hammer...

And here he is doing some more of his new animal noises and showcasing his shiner. Go, Tommy!

Dress-Up

Tommy likes the dress-up kit I got from Nana, too.  He and Chewy are my new dress-up buddies.

Although Chewy may not be too thrilled with his new role.

Such a regal beast!

Easter Basket Hunt

I helped Tommy find his Easter basket.  After I decided there was nothing in it I wanted, I went off in search of mine...

It was behind the curtain!  That sneaky Easter bunny!  It had a magic wand in it...

And yummy candy, and even some Dinosaur Train toys!

Kyle and I tested out the Cars toys from his Easter basket.

And then he and Tommy tested out their tunneling skills.

Nana gave me a dress up kit to go with my magic wand.  Here I am in my princess tiara, earrings, and bracelet.

Bibbity boppity boo!

Mom even played dress-up with me!
Then we were all tuckered out.  Dad was even tired enough to let me try to dress him up.  A fun Easter had by all!
