Bathtime Silliness

I got to have a bubble bath today with Mom.

I didn't like the actual washing part so much...

But playing with the water was fun!

Solid Food is Gross

Mom tried to feed me some cubed squash today. I was not a fan. Then she tried to squish it together with my rice puffs, which I love. It didn't turn out well. Mom says I look like I'm doing a Stevie Wonder impression when I refuse my squash. I don't know who that is, but I bet he thinks squash is gross, too.

How to Carry Your Toys While Crawling

I got all the way across the living room before mom got a chance to get the camera out!

9 Months Today!

Today I went to the pediatrician for my 9 month check-up. She said I am doing great! I am now in the 90% for both height and weight, 21 lbs 3 oz, and 29 inches. Still on track for American Gladiators or the WNBA. I had one vaccine, but I only cried for a minute, and was then distracted by the tongue depresser the doctor let me play with. This shows I'm tough, so maybe I should lean towards American Gladiators...

Who Needs Toys?

Who needs toys? I don't know why Mom and Dad bother getting me baby toys, when my favorite things to play with are clearly the box my diapers come in...

Look! I made it into a slide!

...the coasters from the coffee table...

...and Dad's shoehorn.

And don't forget all Chewy's toys! Yummy!

Monkey!

My new favorite thing is to be upside down! Here's a close-up so you can see how much fun I'm having. Wheee!

The Chicken: Fun for Dogs and Babies

Reptiles: Hairless Chewys

Today I went to Nana's reptile show in Pasadena. Before I met the lizards I needed to wiggle a little on the grass after a long car ride...
I practiced walking...

And had a hard time crawling in my dress, so Daddy tucked it into my bloomers. It looked silly, but worked well! Here's the back view:

I love being outside!

Then Uncle Stuart took me to meet the big tortoise. I wasn't so sure about it...

Mommy tried to reassure me, but then the thing started moving!

I'm still not sure about these hard and hairless Chewys, but I'm always up for a new adventure!

I Got It!

Daddy's funny...

Peeking With Myself

Today I gave myself the giggles playing peekaboo with myself in the mirror while I hid around the corner. As Mom and Dad always say, I am a silly baby!
Mom says it is increasingly hard to get pictures of me these days since I am constantly on the move. Here is what a vast majority of them look like:

I say Mom better figure out how to work the "action" setting on her camera, because I can't be stopped!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, Daddy and I made an "I Love You" sign and a picture for Mommy. We're cute:
Then we went to the beach with Nana and Uncle Stuart
I climbed on Dad, and he finally agreed to let me play in the sand...
First I dug my toes in it, and then started picking it up between my fingers. A whole beach of this stuff, it could keep me busy for days!
Then Mom took me down to stick my feet in the ocean...

The waves came up, and when it'd get too deep Mom would pick me up. I loved it, and waved my arms up and down the whole time! Mom was proud...

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Miles & Me

I went to play with Miles yesterday.

I showed off my standing skills...
And Mom and Auntie Kristine tried to teach us the concept of "share". It didn't go over well. I mastered the concept of "mine" though, as you can see below:

Then we had some fun time playing with the Exersaucer.

And wiggling in our diapers. Miles is fun!

Object Permanence Conquered!

Today I learned how to reach into my mystery box and pull out my toys all on my own!

Early Reader

Today I decided to peruse the bookshelf, and pull off whatever I found interesting (which was basically everything).

I narrowed it down to two favorites. I'm not sure if you can read them below, but one is James Patterson's "Pop Goes the Weasel" and the other is Barack Obama's "The Audacity of Hope". I examined these both thoroughly.

I then made my final choice, as you can see below. Mom said I chose wisely, even if I will just be gumming it for the time being.

Aquarium of the Pacific

Today we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific! Here I am meeting what Dad tells me is a very friendly stingray, but I'm not so sure...

I looked at cool jellyfish with Mom, but she told me too much science stuff about them...

And I liked all the pretty, colorful fish...

But my favorite were the swimming Chewys! Mom and Dad said they're really called sea lions, but I think they look like Chewy when he gets his hair cut short. I plan to lead him into the pool soon to see if I'm right.
