Silverware Selection

Mommy and Daddy have seemed a little groggy and distracted lately, so I decided to keep them on their toes by requesting to pick my own silverware to eat my cereal with.
It worked out surprisingly well, and made both Mommy and Daddy laugh. Mom said not to make her laugh too much because it makes her "itches" (stitches) hurt, but that it's worth it.
And in case you were wondering, my baby brother, Tommy, is still cute.

A Little Brother!!

Mommy and Daddy rushed off to the hospital on Thursday night and I was scared. But don't worry, they are OK. And I am proud to announce that they got me a new little brother that I call 'Baby Thomas". Here are some pictures of him....

And here's a picture of me just being silly...

Big Puzzle, Big Pants, Big Food, BIG GIRL!

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of what a big girl I am these days! Here I am doing my big girl puzzle...
And here I am really excited about wearing my new big girl pull-ups! Mom took me shopping and I got to choose between the pink princess ones, and the blue Toy Story ones. The choice was obvious to me. However, they tried to put someone else's princess ones on me today at preschool, thinking there was a mix-up, and I tearfully let them know I NEED the Toy Story ones.
And here I am eating my big piece of watermelon for dessert tonight...
Yup, the whole thing.
I'm a big girl!

Holiday Lights Harbor Cruise

Last night Daddy, Mommy and I braved the cold to take a cruise around Huntington Harbor to look at the holiday lights.
I liked looking at all the lights, and pointing out any letters I saw
(like J-O-Y and S-A-N-T-A)...
And singing "Frosty the Snowman" and then our family rendition of "Chewy the Fuzzy Dog" with Mommy and Daddy. I also amused some fellow seafarers with my dancing. Silliness keeps you warm!

Potty in the Men's Room

I went to lunch with Mommy and Daddy today, and Daddy took me to the men's room to go potty on the toilet (which I did). Daddy was proud, and also proud that I wanted to wash my hands afterwards using the little stool that was provided. I did not, however, want to pull my pants up first.

Park Play

It's a rainy day today, but it was nice and sunny the other day when I went to the park. Here I am on the tunnel slide...

And swinging on the big girl swing.

Holiday Shopping with Mom

I helped Mommy do some holiday shopping today. What that really means is that I dragged her to all the fun Xmas stuff instead. Here I am riding The Santa Express Train all by myself (and clutching my ticket the whole time):

If you click on these pictures, you can see how excited I was when the train started to move.

I also wanted to see Santa one more time. I was wearing my Santa socks, and he gave me a big "Ho ho ho" when I showed them to him. I told him I wanted a candy cane for Christmas and my wish was instantly granted. I love instant gratification! Thanks, Santa!

What a difference a year makes!

Happy Holidays!

We are getting into the holiday spirit around here. Here Chewy and I are with our HUGE tree. I told Daddy at the lot that it was too big, but he didn't listen. It fits, but just barely!

I love it and love pointing to and playing with all the ornaments on it.

And here I am singing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". Happy Holidays!

Music Class

I had my last music class until after the baby comes today. I love it there, and will miss it for awhile...
Here I am at my usual spot, the center of the ring (aka center of attention), where I like it best.

Here we are playing with scarves...

Playing the drums...
And doing some dancing:
Then I rode home in true rock-star fashion, chauffered in the back seat with my shades on. Rock on, everyone!

Preschool Progress

I've been making new friends and having fun at preschool. I still cry a little when mom drops me off, but I talk the whole way home about all the stuff I did, and I tell her I like it. Here is my latest art project. I'm going through my blue period.

And here's a sample of the note Mom and Dad get about me every day.
If you look on the left, "SU" next to the time means "sat and urinated on the toilet". I'm a big girl! My teacher, Miss Claudia, was very impressed with my potty abilities this week.

And as you can see, Chewy's been using his time away from me effectively. Here he is passed out after spazzing out in his toy basket.

Playdate with Isabella

Isabella came over to play with me on Monday. We had a good time playing in the music room, cooking in my kitchen, and just being silly in general.
We're good buddies! I may even have to start willingly sharing my stuff with her because she's so sweet.

Typical Tuesday

Here's a little slice of my normal Tuesday routine. I like to make sure EVERYONE knows I'm awake in the morning, so first I practice on my drums or piano...

Then take some time to play with/harrass Chewy...

After a bath, Mom and I head to storytime at the library. I love to dance up in the front and watch the feltboard and puppets. There I am doing a little jig on the right in the first picture:

Then we play with the puzzles, then burn off some energy running up and down the big ramp in the center of the library.

After my nap it's off to the dog park for Chewy to play, and for me to take his leash for a walk. Very important business. Then we get to go to the playground!

Not a bad way to spend the day!

Bathroom Fun

I had a potty breakthrough over the long weekend, and am now super excited about going potty on the toilet. I trade off between my little potty chair and the "big giant toilet", as I call it. Here I am after another successful venture picking out my m&m, which Mom and Dad use for bribery:

As you can see, I'm very proud of myself.
I also love my bath. I got a bubble bath this morning, and here I am practicing my swimming and wearing a bubble beard.

Who knew the bathroom was so fun?
