Attention Shoppers!

We found those cool big-kid sized shopping carts at our grocery store.  I LOVE pushing it around and putting in all the things I like (Mom puts the gross stuff, like olives and tuna, in her cart).  Mom said I was very helpful!  I also like to think of it as my first step toward driving.  Mom does not like to think about that.

Tommy, What's on Your Head???

Today was one of those days when we just had to wear our pants on our head...

Silly Siblings

Tommy and I have been making up our own little games and playing together a lot lately.  This usually involves me imitating him, or pretending to be a baby.  Either way, he's pretty fun.

No More Spoon-feeding!

Tommy is learning to eat with a spoon...sort of.   Big boy!

Bowers Museum

We took an excursion to see the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit at the Bowers Museum.  It was pretty cool, and I listened to my audio tour and behaved like a big girl the whole time.

But really Tommy and I were just waiting to get to the kids' museum part!  They have tons of multicultural musical instruments, like this rain stick.

Here's me as Ben Franklin...

And having a tea party Asian-style!

They also have tons of multicultural traditional clothes to dress up in.  I wasn't thrilled about being in this Chinese dress, but Mom said I looked so cute...

I did like these clogs, though.

And Mom and I liked these hats, though we couldn't get Tommy to keep his on.  Here's an action shot of it falling off his head.

After dressing up, we had a little drum circle.

We're quite talented...

After the drum circle Tommy learned some math the old school way on the abacus.

Then it was on to our favorite part of the kids' museum: the puppet theater.  I loved the chameleon puppet most...

And Tommy loved ALL of them!

After the museum we went out for a little lunch, and Tommy showed off his dancing-while-eating skills.  Great day!

Bouncing is a Family Activity

Nana, Uncle Stuart, and Cousin Kyle came over last weekend for some fun.  We did a little lounging on the couch...

Then did some bouncing in the back yard...

After all that bouncing and a yummy dinner, Kyle and I had some fun racing around in our PJs, which has become our routine every time he visits.

Who doesn't love PJ time?

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a big valentine's day! In the morning we opened some valentines...
Tommy especially liked his Winnie the Pooh one from Grandma.

And I loved my stickers!  I even put them in my new sticker book.
We all went to a special storytime at the library, and then I brought valentines for my friends at the Little Gym.
Here are Natalia and I being silly, along with Isabella, Miss Kristina, Aiden, and Caris.

After all that activity, Tommy and I had a little down time with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  I prefer to snuggle Lamby and suck my thumb, while Tommy likes his Teddy's arm.

For dinner I helped Mom make a special Valentine's Day pizza...

With heart shaped pepperoni!

Oh Chewy...

This video is kind of hard to see, and you may need to turn up your speakers to hear it all, but it's of me inviting Chewy up to read books with me before bed.  Mom didn't catch the beginning, but it ends with me listing off his many puppy attributes.  We love our Chewy!

Crazy Hair!

Today was "crazy hair day" at preschool.

Mom put my hair in little pigtails all over my head and then braided them.

Do you like the one she twisted to stand straight up on top?

Mom might have had more fun with this than I did...

Until I got to school and my teacher helped me spray paint my hair, too!  Yup, that's red, green and yellow that you see.

Here I am with my friends, Cameron and Caitlyn.  Punk rock girls!

Tommy's First Haircut

Tommy's hair was starting to look a little squirrelly, so Mom took him in for a haircut.  First I had to show him how it's done.

At first he did alright...

But then he became very squirmy.  Mom distracted him with bubbles so the stylist could finish, and I took pictures.

Success!

Tommy's One Year Pictures

My Future

I told Mom today that when I grow up I want to be a paleontologist, a fireman, a gymnast, and a cowgirl.  She said she thinks that'll be no problem.

Some New Artwork

Here's some of my recent artwork from preschool.  Mom thinks I'm becoming quite accomplished!
Here I traced my name...
On the one above I pasted shapes on the paper in the design of a dinosaur.  My teachers were so impressed that they hung it up and featured me as "Artist of the Week"!
I called this one "A Feather".  Mom says she might frame it.
And this one is "Tyrannosaurus Rex".  See the arms, legs and tail?

Tommy Tub Time

Tommy is a maniac in the bubble bath!  He sticks his whole head under the faucet...

Splashes like a crazy person...

And is very, very cute and silly.  Good boy, Mini-Man!
